1. Secure employment with a Croatian employer. 2. Employer obtains a work permit from the local police administration. 3. Apply for a work visa at the Croatian embassy or consulate. 4. Upon arrival, register for a residence permit at the local police station. 5. Register with tax and social security authorities and obtain an OIB (personal identification number).
Croatia does not have an embassy in Ghana. Applications may be processed through the Croatian embassy in Abuja, Nigeria or neighboring countries. As a full Schengen member since 2023, Croatia follows Schengen visa procedures for short stays. Contact the embassy for current work visa procedures.
